Connie Clarke, 62, of Raceland, Ky., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Aug. 16, 2009, in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital.
Mrs. Clarke was born Sept. 2, 1946, in Ashland, Ky., a daughter of the late Carl and Katheryn Caldwell Mathews. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Paul Clarke Sr., in 2003.
She was of the Christian faith and an employee of the Raceland-Worthington High School cafeteria.
Surviving are two daughters, Lynn Pancake and her husband, Gene, of Flatwoods, Ky., and Jennifer Clarke of Raceland; two sons, Danny Clarke of Raceland and Charles Paul Clarke Jr. and his wife, Tammy, of Flatwoods; a special friend, John Imes of Raceland; a sister, Jo Ann Short and her husband, Carlos, of Dyer, Ind.; and five grandchildren, Jessica Hankinson, Sara Smith, Renae Clarke, Abby Kazee and Nick Clarke.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2009, at Evans Funeral Home in Raceland by Dr. Tom Melvin. Burial will be in Siloam Cemetery in Siloam, Ky.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
