He was born May 19, 1922 in San Jose, the son of George William and Nora Minervy (Betzelberger) Baker. He married Rachel L. Fort on June 19, 1948 in Lincoln; she died on August 30, 1993.
Mr. Baker is survived by one daughter: Suzanne (Terry) Pennington; two grandchildren: Trent (Audrey) Pennington and Adam Pennington; and one great-granddaughter, Violet Pennington.
He is preceded in death by his wife, two sons and one brother.
He worked for Caterpillar in Morton in Shipping and Handling and was a farmer.
He served in the Army during the Korean War.
Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery.
