Levi Shatto, a prominent resident of Carlisle, died Monday afternoon at his home on Franklin street (sic), aged 79 years, one month and twenty-seven days. Mr. Shatto was born on May 27, 1837.
He is survived by his widow, Elizabeth, and the following children: Samuel M., of San Diego, Cal.; James W., a lumber dealer here; Mrs. Barbara Byers, Mechanicsburg; Mrs. Lizzie Ditmer, Williams Grove; Mrs. Mary Sollenberger, Huntsdale; Mrs. Christine Williamson, Barnitz; John S. Shatto, Shermansdale; and Benjamin Shatto, of near Carlisle are brothers and Mrs. Elizabeth Comp, of Carlisle, is a sister.
