Services for A.G. Perryman Jr., 51, of Lubbock will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Bethel A.M.E. Church, with the Rev. Elliot Lambert and the Rev. Solomon Fields officiating.

Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.

He died Monday, March 12, 2001.

He was born June 6, 1950, in Lubbock, and graduated from Dunbar High School in 1969. He was an All-American High School Football Player, one of Lubbock's first for both offense and defense. He attended the University of Oklahoma where he also played football.

He graduated from Moore-Norman School of Vocational Nursing in 1978. He worked as a licensed vocational nurse in the Lubbock area for many years and was a member of St. John's Baptist Church.

He married Marie Toines in Lubbock, on Aug. 14, 1971.

Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Shayla Perryman, Marissa Perryman, Penny Johnson and Claudia Cera, all of Lubbock; one son, Tyson Perryman of Lubbock; two brothers, Larry Perryman and Jimmy Perryman, both of Lubbock; four sisters, Gloria Wheeler of Grand Prairie, Cathy Hines and Iana Coleman, both of Lubbock, and Diana Coleman of White Settlement; and four grandchildren.
