Mrs Cora M. BLAND of Bellwood, widow of Ludwig B. Bland who died in 1941, died July 28, 1956 at Fitzgerald Nursing Home. She had been ill for one and a half years .Born May 6, 1879, in Rush township, Centre county, she is the daughter of George W and Sarah (Potter) Turley. Surviving are 3 sons and 1 daughter: C. Dubrey of Columbus, OH, Louis of Smikthmill, OH, Paul of Point Pleasant , W.Va, Mrs Helen Mentzer of College Park, Md; 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; 2 sisters: Mrs Herman Gilmore of Bellwood and Miss Maud of Carlisle. Services are scheduled at the Bellwood Methodist Church. Interment in Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood. (Altoona Mirror, July 30, 1956)
