Mr Paul O. Bland of Everett, Wash., died April 1, 1986 in Everett. Mr Bland retired from Kaiser Engineers and the Skagit Tribal System. He was born Dec 27, 1910 in Blandburg, the son of Ludwig and Cora (Turley) Bland, and Sep 25, 1929, in Cumberland, Md., married Gertrude E. Tennis. Survivig are his wife, three children: Louis K, Sylvia A Partner, and Gary B; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister and two brothers: Helen Mentzer, Louis, and C.A. Mr Bland was a member of the Elks of Butler. He was an honorary tribal member of the Skagit Indian Tribal Council. Interment in Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood. (Altoona Mirror, April 3, 1986)
