Obituary - Blanche Clark Wilcox, 93, died March 10, 1997, in Bountiful, Utah of causes incident to age.
She was born October 27, 1903, in Auburn, Wyoming, the 11th of 13 children born to Hyrum Don Carlos and Ann Eliza Porter Clark. At age 5, she moved with her family to Farmington. She graduated from Davis High School and attended Utah State Agricultural College.
She married Clyde H. Wilcox on December 17, 1925, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died on February 21, 1976.
Blanche and Clyde raised eight children, all of whom helped run the dairy farm in South Farmington. She lived a full life and enjoyed all of God's creations. She will be known for her faith, courage, determination, and endurance; and for her influence on her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her greatest treasure was her family.
Member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many positions in the Relief Society, Sunday School, and Primary. She knew the scriptures and was always a defender of truth and honesty.
Survived by her sons, Leo (Rosemary), Harlow (Earlene), Farmington; Cordell (Judy), Ralph (Brigitte), Bountiful; and Winn (Ann), Provo; daughters, Lugean (Russell) Walpole, Spanish Fork Canyon; D. Anne Manning, Burbank, California; and Charlynn (Dr. H. James) Clark, Boise, Idaho; 51 grandchildren, 124 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Tony (Anita) Clark, Myrtle Creek, Oregon and Carlos (Audrey) Clark, Farmington.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde; 11 brothers and sisters, one son-in-law, Richard C. Manning and one great-granddaughter, Jennifer Johnson.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 14, 1997, at 11 a.m. in the Farmington Rock Chapel, 272 North Main, Farmington. Friends may call at Bountiful Lindquist Mortuary, 727 North 400 East, Bountiful, on Thursday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and at the Rock Chapel one hour prior to services. Interment: Farmington Cemetery.
