Chambers, Maynard Doroy—Age 89, of Rt. 1, Pioneer, passed away at the Scott County Hospital, Friday, April 14. He was the son of the late Clayborn Chambers and the late Liza June Elliott. He was preceded in death by his wife May Greene Chambers. Survivors: three daughters, Martha Jane Mason, Chattanooga, Mrs. Shirley Jeffers, Cecero, Ind., Fay C. Carr of Fortbille, Ind.; five sons, David Chambers, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Willard Chambers also of Cincinnati, Ohio, Ralph Chambers of Alardt, Tenn., Raymond Chambers of Rt. 1, Pioneer, Tenn., and Rev. Charlie Chambers of Hot Springs, Ark.; one sister, Maudy Cross of Milborne, Fla; one brother Elmer Chambers of Rt. 1, Huntsville, 22 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral service were conducted from the Five Black Gum Baptist Church, 1 p.m. Monday, April 17th, with Rev. Robert Williams and Rev. Leo Williams officiating. Burial in the Lay Cemetery.
