Dumont, Ia. - Funeral services for Vern C. Early, 62, Butler county supervisor, who died Friday at Des Moines, where he had been attending a county officers' convention, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Methodist church here, Rev. E. M. Miller, pastor of the United Brethren church, officiating.
Casketbearers, including Butler county officers, will be J. R. Britcher, Arthur Wendt, John Schoeneman, Frank Fishel, Hugh Mosher and Harry Wilder.
Burial will be in Pilltown cemetery, east of Dumont.
Early's death occurred as a result of a fractured skull, suffered when he apparently fell down the stairs at the Rose Bowl tavern across the street from the hotel in Des Moines where he was staying.
Deceased was born near Dumont April 5, 1881, and had lived in and near Dumont all his life. He married Clara McNeilus at Bristow on Sept. 21, 1906. He leaves his widow, four sons and three daughters.
