I remember when I was a little girl, visiting Great-aunt Vera in Kalamazoo, Michigan and seeing this beautiful mural on a dining room wall that Great-uncle Ken had painted. It took up the entire wall and I knew then he had an amazing artistic talent for detail. It must have been amazing for Aunt Vera, to sit and watch her husband create a beuatiful piece of artwork.

Funeral services for Kenneth H. Gelow, 308 New Hampshire Drive, Portage, Mich., were held Saturday, Sept. 28, at 11 a.m. in the Truesdale Funeral Home, Kalamazoo, Mich.
Mr. Gelow passed away Sept. 26, at 6:30 a.m. in the Bronson Hospital, Kalamazoo, after an eight weeks illness.
He was born Dec. 15, 1900 in Three Oaks, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gelow, former Three Oaks residents. On Nov. 11, 1926, he was married to Miss Vera Vander Vliet of Kalamazoo. Mr. Gelow retired four years ago as an artist in Cleveland, Ohio, and moved to Kalamazoo.
Surviving are his widow, one sister, Mrs. Nina McIntosh, Buchanan and one brother LaVern Gelow, Ft. Wayne, Ind. Burial was in a Kalamazoo Cemetery.
