Joseph B. Brown, 94, former resident of 132 S. 30th St., retired carpenter and contractor, died at 8:25 a.m. Monday in Acme Nursing Home.
Born in Licking County, Nov. 30, 1868, he was the son of Jacob T. Brown and Mildred (Bradley) Brown.
His wife, the former Mrs. Katie Willey, died in 1927. Surviving are two sons, Frank J. Brown of Chillicothe and Harley J. Brown of Newark; a daughter, Mrs. Ellen Rausa of Los Angeles, Calif., also 12 grandchildren; two brothers; James D. Brown of Central City and Oscar Brown of Newark; two sisters, Mrs. Chloe George of Gratiot, Mrs. Millie Snelling, Brownsville Road. Three daughters and a son are deceased.
The deceased was a member of Mt. Carmel Church and the Rev. Robert Knox will conduct services at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel in Criss Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
