Gerald Leroy BEMENDERFER, 79, R.R. 5, Knox, died at 10:15 a.m. Thursday at his residence at Bass Lake. He was born June 22, 1896 in Akron to Charles and Reta BEMENDERFER. His marriage was Aug. 9, 1975 to Florence SNAVELY. She survives. He was a former state police excise officer and a retired real estate broker. He was a member of the Bass Lake Property association. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Helen HASSLER, LaPorte; Mrs. Mary SHORTER, Lafayette; twelve grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one brother, William [BEMENDERFER], of Indianapolis; one sister, Mrs. Stella RAISTER, Maywood, Ill., and one half-sister, Mrs. Nora HOFFMAN, Akron. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Bramen and Son memorial chapel in Knox. The Rev. Kenneth WILES will officiate. Burial will be in the Bass Lake cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Friday.
