Sarah Brown, daughter of John and Martha Chapman Brown, was born in Sumner Co., TN.
She came to IL with her family to Perry Co., IL, in about 1830. Her father died within a few years, and so did several of her siblings.
Sarah was married to George Thomason of neighboring Randolph Co. 13 July 1836.
She and George lived in Randolph Co., then in Moultrie Co., IL, where George died in 1869. Sarah continued to live on their farm for some years, but spent the end of her life with her daughter, Caroline Brown, wife of John F. Brown, at whose home she died in 1904.
