Mrs. Mary Clotilde Gathof, 28, of 2527 Elliott, died at 3:50 p.m. Wednesday [December 25, 1940] at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital. Surviving are her husband, Stephen C. Gathof; four sons, Stephen A. Gathof, John D. Gathof, James E. Gathof and Thomas M. Gathof; four daughters, Virginia Lee Gathof, Joyce Marie Gathof, Shirley Ann Gathof and Patricia Jean Gathof; her father, Hugh D. Browning; three brothers, Joseph H. Browning, Thomas M. Browning and William W. Browning; and two sisters, Mrs. Helen Barnett and Mrs. Evelyn Miller. Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the Ratterman Funeral Home and at 9 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
