HARRIET PRICE CONNER
Harriet Price Conner, third eldest daughter of nine children of Miles and Emeline Price, was born in McDonough county, Ill, Oct. 12, 1868.
The Price family moved to the Russell vicinity in 1878, where Mrs. Conner spent the remainder of her life, with the exception of 12 years on a homestead in South Dakota.
She was married to William Mason Conner in May 24, 1890 and they observed their 69th anniversary in May of this year. She devoted her entire life to the raising of her six children, five of whom survive her.
Age and failing health had confined her to her home for several years until April of this year, when she was taken to the O'Donnell Rest Home for care. She departed this earthly sojourn August 25, 1959, at the age of 90 years, 10 months and 13 days.
She leaves her husband, Will, five sons, Albert, of Huron, S. Dak.; Orville, of Palo Alto, Calif.; Lawrence, of Roseville, Calif.; Miles, of Sioux Falls, S. Dak.; and Ansel of Northwood, Ia.; eleven grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; her sister, Ida, of Denison, and a brother, Asa, of Russell, nieces, nephews and her neighborhood friends.
Funeral services were held at the Woodman Funeral Home, Friday, August 28, at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. A. E. Beals. Interment was in the Russell cemetery.
