A former Wellington woman, Mrs. Delbert James Collins, 52, of Lake Jackson, died in a hospital there Monday, March 25, 1974. Funeral services and burial were at Lake Jackson Wednesday.

The former Lillie Beatrice Walters, she was the daughter of the late John Hardy and Annie Mae (Corby) Walters and graduated from Wellington High School with the Class of 1938.

She and Mr. Collins moved from Wellington about 25 years ago. She was employed in the office of a doctor at Lake Jackson.

Survivors are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Gloria Carmon of Tom Ball; two sons, Chuck Collins of the U.S. Air Force and Ronnie Collins of Lake Jackson; two sisters, Mrs. Willie Mae Haskell of Denver, Colorado and Mrs. Fain (Dorothy Jean) Derryberry of Beaumont; and one brother, T.J. Walters of Amarillo.
