John was born on November 15, 1931 in Little Falls, MN to the late Clarence and Mabel (Hall) Abrahamson. He was raised and educated in Little Falls. John entered the US Army National Guard in 1950. He married Donna Boisjolie on June 9, 1953 at St. James Church in Randall, MN. He worked as a home building contractor in Big Lake with his company, Hi-Ten Builders. John retired in 1997. He loved listening to the Twins games, playing his harmonica, fishing, and visiting with family and friends. He was a member of the Randall VFW Post #9073, and the Big Lake American Legion Post #147.
John is survived by his wife, sons, daughters, sisters, six grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.
