Lois M. Sanderson, 89 year old resident of Little Falls, MN, passed away August 28, 2014 at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls, MN. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Little Falls, MN with Rev. Jean Megorden officiating. Burial will take place in Darling Cemetery in Little Falls, MN.

Lois M. Sanderson was born on April 23, 1925 in Hammond, IN to the late Clarence and Mabel (Hall) Abrahamson. At the age of 1 year, Lois and her family moved to Darling Township where she grew up. Lois attended Darling Country School and graduated from Little Falls High School. Upon graduation she went to work as a nanny for the White family as they traveled around the state providing medical care. She was united in marriage to Chester Sanderson on July 2, 1946 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Little Falls, MN. Lois and Chester together farmed in Darling Township; she raised their seven children while he worked the farm. After the children left home, she went to work teaching pre-school children in homes around Morrison County. Lois and Chester loved traveling together, taking many trips around the United States and also several through out the world. She was wonderful baker and a extraordinary caregiver. Lois cared for her parents and brother at her home for many years. Her farm was her life. She lived on her own for many years after Chester passed enjoying the many gifts of nature, especially the birds and deer which she so loved. Lois was an active member at Bethel Lutheran Church in Little Falls participating in WELCA and volunteering her time and talents generously. Lois was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Lois is survived by sons, Dennis (Louise) Sanderson of Little Falls, MN, David (Cheryl Lynn) Sanderson of TX, Daniel (Sharon) Sanderson of Little Falls, MN; daughters, Linda Sanderson of Colorado Springs, CO, Gail (Job) Vigil of North Platte, NE, and Betty Sanderson of Brainerd, MN; daughter-in-law, Janet Sanderson of Little Falls, MN; sisters, Carol (Dennis) Morawczyski of Browerville, MN and Diane (Bob) Zaske of Anoka, MN; special cousin, Morris Nelson of Randall, MN; grandchildren, Mark, Nick, Kevin, Derek, Bryon, Janelle, Kim, Danielle, Jordan, Tamara, Ben, Bryant, Blake, & David Jr; and many great-grandchildren.

Lois was preceded in death by parents; husband, Chester Sanderson (1992); son, Darrell Sanderson; grandsons, Brent Sanderson and Jeffrey Sanderson; brothers, Clarence Abrahamson Jr., Robert Abrahamson, John Abrahamson, and Gerald Abrahamson; and sister, Elaine Booty.
Casketbearers will be Mark Sanderson, Nick Sanderson, Kevin Sanderson, Derek Sanderson, Bryon Sanderson, & Janelle Fitch.
