Carole Ann (Abrahamson) Morawczynski, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, 76, of rural Browerville, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2016, after a short, but courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral services for Carole will be held on Friday, December 16, 2016, at St. James Catholic Church, Randall, Minnesota. Christian burial will be at Camp Ripley.

Carole was born on May 26, 1940 in Little Falls, MN to Clarence and Mabel Abrahamson. She grew up in Darling Township on a dairy farm where she drove tractor, baled hay, milked cows and did anything else her dad and brother needed. Carole attended Darling Country Schools during her elementary years and was known for her kindness and her ability to play softball. She went on to Little Falls High School and graduated from there in 1958. After graduation, Carole moved to Minneapolis where she found work. She met Dennis, the love of her life in 1959, and they married in 1960.
They were blessed with three children, Kim who was born in 1961, Brian in 1962, and Jeff in 1966. They spent the early part of their married life in Crystal where they bought their first house and later moved to Ramsey in 1968. Carole created a home of love and support as her children grew up. She and Dennis never missed any of their children’s events and encouraged them in all of their endeavors. Many lifetime friendships were developed with the parents of their children’s friends and teammates. Carole played many years of softball and continued to show her talent on the field. She especially enjoyed the years when she, Dennis and their three children were able to play on the same team.
In 1997, Carole and Dennis built a home where Dennis had grown up in rural Browerville, and for the next five years they divided their time between their new home and their place in Ramsey. As their children grew into adulthood, married and began families of their own, Carole’s passion for her family only grew deeper. She was a devoted and loving grandmother and adored by her grandchildren.
In 2002 they moved full time to their home in Browerville. Carole lived there with Dennis until her death, enjoying times with family and friends and many card games. Carole was active in her church and community, but her true commitment was acting as a devoted caregiver to family and friends. She was always ready with a helping hand, a smile and a hug. A guest in their home was always welcomed with warmth, love and laughter. Lemon bars and other delicious baked goods were always a part of this welcome.
Carole has brought love and happiness to many hearts – virtually everyone she met. The world has lost a great soul, but heaven has gained one.
Carole is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Dennis; daughter Kim (Dave) Davidson of Crookston; son Jeff Morawczynski of Champlin; daughter-in-law Lisa Morawczynski of Champlin; grandchildren, Tom, Sean, Joe, Katie, Dan, Jack, and Peter; sister Diane (Robert) Zaske of Ramsey; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her son Brian, parents Clarence and Mabel Abrahamson, in-laws Leo and Gertrude Morawczynski, and six siblings.
