William Dan Auld, oldest son of Hamilton and Mary Auld was born on April 25, 1863 on a farm 1 ½ miles east of Frankfort KS where one sister and two brothers still live.
He received his early education at the rural school and later attended the Agricultural College at Manhattan KS.
He was married to Blanche Busby on May 30, 1888 and lived on his farm 3 miles east of Frankfort, Kansas for several years. He then moved into town where he was in business for many years. He is survived by his wife Blanche; three daughters, Helen Eyman, Holton KS, Jean Devendorf, Berkeley CA, and Alice Davis, KCMO; three grandchildren, four brothers, John Auld, Frank Auld, George Auld and Sidney Auld, all of Frankfort KS; two sisters, Gertrude Stout, Hill City, Kansas and Agnes Auld, Frankfort KS.
He passed away at the home of his daughter in Kansas City MO October 30, 1942 aged 79 years, 6 months and 5 days.
