Zelma Rainbolt Walker , 81 , Route#1, Springville, died at 10:55 AM
Monday at the Westview Manor, Bedford, following a month’s illness..
Born in Wayne County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Milford and
Abbie (Neely) Godsey … She married Ivan Rainbolt 17 December 1934
and he died September 25, 1977 … She later married Harry Walker, who
died in 1991 ….
She was a homemaker and attended the Free Trinity Pentecostal Church
in Springville ….
Surviving are three sons, Ivan Dale Rainbolt of Springville, Robert Donald
Rainbolt of Columbus, Ohio and James Alfred Rainbolt of Bloomington ;
four brothers, Beckam Godsey, Paul Robert Godsey and Hobert Godsey,
all of Springville , and Ivan Godsey of Bedford ; five sisters, Elsie Banks of
Springville, Ruby Adkins and Artie Workman, both of Bloomfield, Dorothy Hall
of Oolitic and Alma Bottoroff of Bedford ;
Ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren …..
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Hurstel and Oliver Godsey and
one brother in infancy ….
Services will be at 10 AM Thursday at the Day and Carter Mortuary, Bedford,
with the Rev. Wendell Phillips officiating …
Burial will be in the Byers / Rainbolt Cemetery near the Popcorn Community …..
