Paul Robert "Bob" Godsey of Springville, IN, died Wednesday, April 28, 1999, at his residence. Born on January 4, 1928, in Needmore, IN, he was the son of Milford and Abigail (Neeley) Godsey. He married Hazel Elliott on January 29, 1960, and she survives.

Also surviving are three daughters: Paula Lucas of Lancaster, PA, Betty Cummings and Sherri Walls, both of Bedford, IN; one son, Rick Godsey of Bedford, IN; three brothers: Beckam and Hobert Godsey, both of Springville, IN, and Ivan Godsey of Mitchell, IN; five sisters: Elsie Banks of Springville, IN, Ruby Atkins and Artie Workman, both of Bloomington, IN, Dorothy Hall of Oolitic, IN, and Alma Bottorff of Bedford, IN; twelve grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Kay Storms; two brothers, Oliver and Herstel Godsey; and one sister, Zelma Rainbolt.

He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a retired railroad worker for CSX Transportation. He was a member of the Crossroads Community Church and the Bedford Eagles lodge.

Services for Bob Godsey will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 1st, at the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bros. Ken Ransom and Phil Thorne officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memorial Gardens with graveside military rites accorded by the American Legion Gillen Post 33, Bedford.
