MILWAUKEE — Cecil Askew, 72, died at his home Saturday. Funeral services were conducted Monday at 2:30 p.m. at Bethany Methodist Church by the Rev. John Long. Burial was in the Milwaukee Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Annie Askew; three daughters, Mrs. Lula Mae Rose of Milwaukee, Mrs. Annie Vaughan of Portsmouth and Mrs. Ruby Baker of Palm Beach, FL; four sons, Gilbert, Atlas, Grady and Waverly, all of Portsmouth; three sisters, Mrs. Doshie A. Draper and Mrs. Quillie A. Martin, both of Milwaukee and Mrs. Ruth A. Futrell of Jackson; one brother, Elston Askew of Murfreesboro.
