Husband of Neva Pearl Askew, Father of Lemuel Atlas Askew.
Killed in car/bus accident, Nottoway River Bridge, Franklin, VA. Others killed in same accident was his nephew, Raymond F. Martin and his wife, Mattie Davis Martin, his nephew Rueben A. Martin and his wife, Essie Lois Vann Martin. Joint funeral for all six (6) victims was held at Bethany United Methodist Church in Milwaukee, N.C., a few days after Christmas Day, 1943.
