WILLIAM A. HUPP

William Aaron Hupp, youngest son of Jacob and Paulena Hupp, was born in Lucas county, Iowa, on Nov. 28, 1896, and passed away at the St. Elizabeth hospital in Lincoln, Nebr. on July 19, 1944, at the age of 47 years, 7 months and 21 days.

His early life was spent in Lucas and Wayne counties, but for the past 18 years he had been employed as a telegraph lineman in western states.

He received knee and other injuries on October 20, 1942, near Cheyenne, Wyo., when his motor car was sideswiped by a train. He was confined to a hospital in Cheyenne for seven months and was then transferred to a hospital in Berwyn, Ill., where he remained for 10 months. About May 1 of this year he returned to Lincoln, Nebr., where he was stricken with pneumonia which resulted in his death.

During his last illness he was cared for by a friend, Miss Cortell Kathraba, of Lincoln, and a niece, Mrs. Mabel Thomas.

He possessed many fine traits of character and his cheerful disposition and kindly ways won him many friends.

He leaves to mourn his passing two brothers and three sisters, Samuel Hupp, of Chariton; Newton Hupp and Mrs. Anna Vickroy, of Centerville; Mrs. Bertha Hull and Mrs. Minnie Relph, of Russell. His parents preceded him in death.
