GALLOWAY Marion Barrett, "Bud", died June 23, 1992 at Mercy Hospital. He was born July 22, 1914 in Stroud, Oklahoma to J.H. and Lillie Mae Galloway. He graduated from Stroud High School and attended Oklahoma City University. On June 28, 1938 he married Helen V. Anthony. They were married for fifty-four years. He was the father of two children, Kay and Morris. "Mr. Bud" worked for C.R. Anthony Company for forty-five years, retiring as Executive Vice President.

In 1962 he was a co-founder of Community National Bank, now Community Bank and Trust and remained active on the Board of Directors of the bank until his passing. His boyhood love of Stroud led, in 1955, to the creation of Lightning G Farms in Stroud, Oklahoma. This farm afforded him the opportunity to support many F.F.A. programs in Lincoln County for over thirty years. A long-time supporter of Phillips University, and Oklahoma City University, Bud was recently appointed a Trustee of O.C.U. A member of Crown Heights Christian Church since 1949, he served as deacon.

Bud was a member of the Fortune Club, the Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association, the Sirloin Club, the Uptown Kiwanis Club, the Economics Club and the Men's Dinner Club. He is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Helen, of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Morris and Vicki Galloway of Oklahoma City; daughter and son-in-law, Kay and L.W. Grant of Tulsa; sister, Vi Thomas of Holdenville; grandchildren, Paige and Ryan Galloway of Oklahoma City, and Alden and Bart Yeary of Tulsa; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Services was Friday, June 25, at 3:00 p.m. at Crown Heights Christian Church located at 4020 North Western in Oklahoma City, with interment at Rose Hill Cemetery
