CLARA BELL (LEE) MABERRY
Funeral services for Mrs. Clara Bell (Lee) Maberry, 78, of Putnam County, will be conducted at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, May 7, 2003, from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home in Cookeville. Burial will be in West Cemetery, in the Fairview Community with Bro. Harlon Johnson officiating.

Mrs. Maberry died Sunday, May 4 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Double Springs Baptist Church. She lived most of her life in the Roaring River Community of Jackson and Overton counties before moving to Putnam county with her husband in 1987.

Born November 28, 1924, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Millard Filmore and Laura Threecy (Gentry) Lee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Arnold Maberry; a son, Kennith Earl Maberry; a sister, Ora Mae Chaffin; and three brothers, Roy Lee, Howard Lee, and Garrett Lee.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley Rose Rodgers and husband, Philip R., and Evelyn Joyce Owens and husband, Johnny, all of Cookeville; a sister, Arvilla Carlile of Cookeville; two brothers, Arvis Lee and Carson Lee, both of Cookeville; three grandchildren, Steven Andrew Rod-gers and wife, Erin, of East Point, GA, Gewaine Arlen Long, and Yolande Shannay (Long) Griffin and husband, Scott, of Cookeville; two step-grandchildren, Philip R. Rodgers Jr. and wife, Elisa, of Hiram, GA, and Christal (Rodgers) Hall and husband, Michael, of Ellenwood, GA; two step-great grandchildren, Allison Christine Riggle and Brandon Scott Riggle, both of Ellenwood; and other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Carlile, Randy Carlile, James Chaffin, Johnny Lee, and Danny Lee. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be James B. McWilliams and the deacons of Double Springs Baptist Church.
