Services for Laura (Gentry) Lee, 89, of 6th Street, Cookeville, were held Thursday, Aug. 2, 1984, from the Chapel of Whitson Funeral Home followed by burial in West Cemetery. Bro. Harlon Johnson and Bro.
Bobby McCartney officiated. Mrs. Lee died Monday, July 30, 1984, at Cookeville General Hospital.
She was born Jan. 10, 1895 to the late George W. and Mary (Lee) Gentry.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Milliard F. Lee. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include three daughters, Arvilla Carlile, of Cookeville, Ora Mae Chaffin, of MO, and Clara Mayberry, of Gainesboro; five sons, Roy Lee of AL, Howard Lee of Cookeville, Garrett Lee, of IL, Carson
Lee, of Gainesboro, and Arvis Lee, of Cookeville; one sister, Louisa Maggie Knight, of Cookeville; one brother, Amon Gentry, of Cookeville; 34 grandchildren, 36 greatgrandchildren, and seven greatgreatgrandchildren.
