"A big man with a handlebar mustache, gun on his hip and a Bible in his hand. Family tradition says that he would ride up to the Church on horseback, walk up to the pulpit, lay his gun down, then his Bible". 1892
14 Apr 1892: Marriage to Lavinia Olena Daniel.
Seven months after Jennie's death, Jake married Lavinia Olena Daniel. Six of Jake's children were still young and living at home, 1900.
