Mrs. Ola Mae Abbott, 70, of Cottonwood Point, died June 7, 1990 at her home. Born April 21, 1920 in Sand Ridge, Tenn., she was the daughter of Charles Coppage and Sudie Pearson Hall. She attended school in Halls and Lexington, Tenn. She was the widow of Granville Buddy Abbott. She was employed by Wal-Mart of Caruthersville as a greeter. She was a member of Cottonwood Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, Toby Abbott of Greenwood, Miss.; One daughter, Mrs. Myra Conway of Itta Bena, Miss.; Three sisters, Mrs. Nell Pierce of Steele, Mrs. Emma Sue Ashley of Flint, Mich., and Mrs. Louise Green of Tennessee; One grandson, Jason Abbott of Greenwood; And one granddaughter, Mrs. Michelle Sheppard of Alexandria, La.
Services were June 9 at 4 p.m. at Cottonwood Baptist Church, the Rev. Charles Hollingsworth and the Rev. Butch Kelley officiating, with burial in Maple Cemetery, H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville in charge.
Pallbearers were Junior Lossing, Dave Jean, John Earl Dunavant and Bob Robert and Speedy Powell.
