HABERMEHL, Edna - Peacefully, on Saturday, July 18, 2009, at Chateau Gardens, Elmira, Edna Habermehl, in her 101st year, of Elmira, formerly of Toronto. Dear sister of Beatrice and Edward Feick of Saskatoon, Sask., Alice Weber of RR 1, Elmira, Doris and Bill Ermel of Hearst, Ontario, and sister-in-law of Eileen Habermehl of Elora. Edna will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews and their families and by her many friends. Predeceased by her parents, Albert and Annie (Shantz) Habermehl; her step-mother, Martha (Bauman) Habermehl; four sisters, Vera Bauman, Ada Buehler, Erma Drudge, Ida Habermehl; and two brothers, Clayton and Leonard. At Edna's request, cremation has taken place. There will be no funeral home visitation. A memorial service for family and friends to celebrate Edna's life will be held at the St. Jacobs Mennonite Church on Saturday, July 25, 2009 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Glen Zehr officiating. A family interment will take place at St. Jacobs Mennonite Cemetery at 10 a.m. (Saturday morning). In her memory, donations to Chateau Gardens Auxiliary or St. Jacobs Mennonite Church would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to the Dreisinger Funeral Home , Elmira.
