Enlisted in Co B of the 10th Reg Inf. He was wounded, captured and paroled during the Battle of Chickamauga. He went home on furlough in the Fall of 1863. He returned to his unit later that summer. He was KIA 1 Sept 1864 during the Battle of Jonesboro. Grave #E5713 His enlistment would have up 12 Oct 1864
