Alvina E. Couch, 74, of Imbler, died Wednesday morning at the home of her daughter, Janice of Elgin.

Mrs. Couch was born Sept. 4, 1910, in Woodworth, ND, to John and Anna Voth Johnson. She married Bert Couch on Christmas Eve 1940.

She was a resident of Hollister, Calif., for 28 years before moving to Elgin in 1973, and later to Imbler. She was a housekeeper and she worked as a nurse in Hollister before retiring in 1972. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Bert W. Couch, Imbler; one daughter; one son; four brothers; three sisters, and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother William Johnson.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Elgin Seventh-day Adventist Church.
