TABOR, Geraldine Gardner, 83, of Roanoke, passed away Sunday, September 7, 1997. She was the daughter of the late William Isaac Jones and Ida Mae Gardner. She was the widow of Guy Edison Tabor Sr., and also was preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence C. Gardner, and a sister, Evelyn G. Hilbert.
Surviving are children and their spouses, Judy Rae Tabor of Roanoke, Ann and Auburn Light of Roanoke, Barbara T. and Ben Flora of Rocky Mount, Guy Edison Jr. and Jeanette Tabor of Juneau, Alaska, and Margaret T. and Tommy Armstrong of Dillwyn;
brothers and sisters, Mildred Farris of Roanoke, William Gardner of Woodlawn, Janie G. Taylor of Belfry, Ky., and James Gardner of Woodlawn;
grandchildren, Keaton Tabor, Judith Ann Tabor, Auburn Light Jr., Doug Light, Sherri Light, Rebecca Armstrong, Meghan Armstrong, Joshua Tabor and Jessee Tabor;
great-grandchildren, Deshawn Tabor and Alex Light; a stepgrandchild, Michele E. Armstrong; a special cousin, Shirley Wade of Roanoke, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 9, 1997, at Lotz Roanoke Chapel, with the Rev. Thomas E. Armstrong officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Arrangements are being handled by Lotz Funeral Home, Roanoke.
