SERVICES FOR OTTO TURNER ARE THURSDAY
..Funeral services for Otto Turner, 69, will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon in the Methodist church at Kiowa, Kansas.
..He died Monday following a heart attack.
..Born in 1877 at Uniontown, Kansas, he came to Oklahoma and lived for many years in Woods county where he was a farmer.
..Turner had lived in Kiowa for 18 years where he was an employee of the city most of that time.
..He and Mrs. Turner had celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last October 21.
..Besides his widow, other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Ray Olson and Mrs. Claude Olson, Hardtner, Kansas; and Mrs. Clifford Millege of Alva; two sons, John Turner of Capron and Leslie Turner, LaJunta, Colorado; a sister, Mrs. Ruth Beaman, Uniontown, 20 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
..Known as a friend of children and a man "who thought it never hurt to give a fellow lift," Turner had many friends in this area. A member of the Presbyterian church in Uniontown, he transferred to the Methodist church in Kiowa.
..Reverend Williams, pastor of the Kiowa church will officiate at the services with the Ikerd Funeral home in charge of arrangements.

OTTO TILDEN TURNER
..Otto Tilden Turner, son of John and Eliza Turner, was born in Bourbon county, Kansas, on August 1, 1877.
..He lived in Bourbon county for 37 years where as a child he met Eva Ellen Harris, and later married her on October 21, 1896. To this union were born five children, Orra Olson of Hardtner, Leslie Turner of LaJunta, Colorado; Ruby Olson of Hardtner; Vivian Millege of Alva; and John Turner of Capron.
..The family moved to Oklahoma in 1914 and lived there until August, 1928. Mr. and Mrs. Turner then established a home in Kiowa where they have been living the past 18 years. The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary October 21 of this year. Mr. Turner's death occurred on December 9, 1946.
