Frederick William Baumann, age 99, 2764 Blair Street, died Tuesday, September 25, 1973, in a Murray rest home of natural causes.
Fred was born September 24, 1874, in Wilderswil, Bern, Switzerland, to Peter and Anna Stoller Baumann.
He emigrated to the Western United States in December 1901. He lived in Montpelier, Idaho, for 4 years. After his mother and only sister (Marie) died he moved to Salt Lake City in 1905.
Fred married Elise Jäggi, Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were divorced. Fred later married Marie Jäggi, Salt Lake LDS Temple; she died.
Fred Baumann was the proud father of ten children.
Survivors: sons, daughters, William, Salt Lake City; Wallace, Bountiful; Mrs. Wayne G. (Lily) Fairclough; Mrs. Nephi E. (Margaret) Johanson; Mrs. John (Mildred) Stewart; all Salt Lake City; Mrs. Claude (Ann) Richmond, Woodland Hills, California, 18 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren.
A funeral was held Thursday, September 27, 1973, noon, 5850 9th East. Burial, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
