Sacramento, Calif. -- Karl F. Kopsie, 62, died at 8:18 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2003 at Sutter General Hospital in Sacramento, Calif.
He was born June 12, 1941, in Alton to Michael James and Violet Iris Kopsie.
He married the former Patty Stoner Feb. 10, 1979, in Godfrey. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Diane and Sharon; four stepchildren, Cheryl, Mary, William and Joseph; five grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and a sister, Esther Elaine Lachner of Wood River.
He was preceded in death by his parents and six brothers, Michael, Earl, Kenny, Ronnie, James and Richard Kopsie.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Covenant Church in Rancho Cordova, Calif.
