George C. Warner Sr., longtime resident of Billings, Oklahoma passed away January 28, 2016 in Enid, Oklahoma. He was 82 years of age. George was born on June 10, 1933 in Billings, Oklahoma to James and Mary Phelps Warner.

George attended school in Billings.

He married Shelia Faye Ritcher July 11, 1957 in Midwest City, Oklahoma and they made their home there for a time.

George brought his family back to the Billings area in 1967 and he worked for the Department of Transportation in the Perry Shop for over 20 years retiring in 1992.

George was always working with his hands on something. During his early years he enjoyed camping, hunting and travelling. George also enjoyed swapping stories and meeting friends at the local coffee shop.

Survivors include: wife: Sheila of the home; 2 sons: George Jr. and wife Teresa Warner of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Kevin and wife Jennifer Warner of Enid, Oklahoma, 1 daughter; Phebe Warner of Billings, Oklahoma, 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

George was preceded in death by his parents, 8 brothers, 3 sisters and 2 great grandchildren.
