Martin was one of 12 children born to James Albert and Mary Lovica (Phelps) Warner. He was a highly decorated World War II veteran of the U.S. Army. After he was discharged from the army he spent 32 years working for the G.H.&H. Railroad.
He was survived by his wife of 47 years; his two daughters; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister; and six brothers.
