Phyllis Marie Vath Brush, daughter of Louis Roscoe Vath and Mary Edna Horn Vath, was born November 10, 1952, in Ogallala, Neb., and departed this life on July 3, 2009, at the age of 56 years, seven months, and 23 days.
Survivors include her father and mother, of Sutherland, Nebraska; one brother, Robert Vath and his wife Janet, of Sutherland; five sisters, Rita Boyer and husband Dennis, of Loveland, Colorado; Mary Lou Beisner and husband Berdell, of Paxton, Neb.; Peggy Lenz and husband Kent, of Sutherland; Nancy Vath and fiancé Bill Ray, of Oberlin, Kan.; Becky Vath of Loveland, Colo.; many nieces and nephews; special friend, Bobby Skaggs, of Kennett; and all of her Tri-County family.
Phyllis was preceded in death by two brothers, Louis Leroy Vath and Michael Eugene Vath.
Phyllis enjoyed camping, reading, knitting, crocheting, baking, and helping others.
Phyllis was of Kennett, and passed away July 3, in Kennett.
Visitation was from 6 to 7 p.m., on Monday, July 6, followed by funeral services at 7 p.m., at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Reverend Dale Rickman officiating. McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett was in charge of all arrangements.
Funeral service in Sutherland will be conducted at 10 a.m., Friday, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Sutherland.
