A lifelong resident of Sutherland and an over the road truck driver, Louis Leroy Vath, 21, died Friday (July 2, 1976) in Brigham City, Utah, from injuries sustained in a trucking accident. He was born July 21, 1954 in Ogallala.He attended Sutherland High School and graduated with the class of 1972. Mr. Vath was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sutherland.Survivors include his widow, Connie, and son, Jeremy; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis R. Vath of Sutherland; two brothers, Mike and Robert Vath of Sutherland; six sisters, Mrs. Gary (Phyllis) Brush, Rita Kay, Mary Lou, Peggy, Nancy, and Becky Vath, all of Sutherland; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Vath of Paxton and Jessie Vath of Ogallala; and several aunts and uncles. Rosary will be recited tonight at 8 o'clock at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sutherland.Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sutherland with the Rev. Gerald Carlson as celebrant.
Burial will be in the Sutherland Cemetery at Sutherland with Ryan and Tickle Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
