FLOYD E. HAYNES DIES IN NEW MEX.
Former Osage County Resident Succumbs at Home of Son-Brother of Mrs. Jett of Bland
Floyd E. Haynes died Monday, June 7, at the home of his son in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Cause of death was attributed to a heart condition. Mr. Haynes, who lived in Kansas City, had gone to visit his son and had been in New Mexico only one day when he was stricken. He was born and formerly lived in Osage County. He was a brother of Mrs. Roy Jett of Bland, and also J.O. Haynes, who formerly lived at Bland, but who now resides in Kansas City, MO. Surviving are hiw widow, Mrs. Edith Holmes Haynes, and one son, Russel Haynes of New Mexico. One brother and two sisters and one half sister survive, Mary Swank of St. Louis, Mrs. Georgia Payton of Owensville, Mrs. Roy Jett of Bland, and J.O. Haynes of Kansas City, MO. He was born April 19, 1891 near Useful in Osage County. Attended school at the Possum Town School, and later became a member of the Baptist Church. Funeral Services are to be held at the Bland Baptist Church Friday at 2 p.m., with burial at the Bland Union Cemetery. The Reverends James R. Wiley and William Spurgeon will conduct the services.
