Frances A. Yorek, age 87 of Little Falls, MN and formerly of Bowlus, MN passed away Thursday, July 7, 2005, at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 10:00 AM at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Bowlus, MN with the Rev. Dale Ettel and Rev. Sylveruis Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00-8:00PM Sunday at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls and Monday from 9:00-10:00AM at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Bowlus. The St. Stanislaus Alter Rosary Society will pray a rosary Sunday afternoon at 4:30 PM at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls followed by parish prayers at 6:00 PM.
Frances Anne Yorek was born July 14, 1917 to Frank and Katherine (Wehseler) Koshenina south of Elmdale, MN on the family farm in Morrison County. She grew up on the family farm and attended country school near Upsala, MN. Following her schooling, Frances worked for neighboring farmers and their wives. She was united in marriage on May 19, 1939, to Peter Yorek at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Elmdale, MN. The couple made their on the family farm near Bowlus. In December of 1998, Frances moved to the Alverna Apartments in Little Falls. Her husband, Peter, died August 6, 1999. Frances continued to live at Alverna Apartments residing there until her death. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Bowlus, Alter Rosary Society and the tenant council at Alverna Apartments. Frances did extensive volunteering and made many friends at the Alverna Apartments. She enjoyed playing cards, embroidering and visiting with relatives and friends.

Frances is survived by sons & daughters, Paul Yorek & wife, Judy, of Sauk Rapids, MN, Ed Yorek & wife, Nhyla, of Royalton, MN, Dennis Yorek & wife, Diana of Albany, MN, David Yorek of Royalton, MN, Joe Yorek of St. Cloud, MN, Kathleen Welle & husband, Ken, of Holdingford, MN, JoAnn Kroll & husband, Dave, of Royalton, MN, Rita Symanietz of Rice, MN; brothers, Anthony Koshenina & wife, Alice, of Roberts, WS, Bernard Kosheninia & wife, Elaine, of South St. Paul, MN; 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter; parents; brothers, John, Joseph, Thomas & Henry Koshenina and sisters, Marie Kroll and Louise Gallus.

Honorary pallbearers are Frances' grandchildren. Casketbearers are Ed Yorek, Dennis Yorek, Dave Yorek, Joe Yorek, Cory Symanietz, Cheryl Yorek, Mike Welle, & Nathan Kroll.
