Born January 9, 1925 he was the son of the late John Montgomery and Velma Treece Montgomery. He attended schools at Canady Switch and McCarty. He was engaged in farming until his retirment.
Survivors include one brother, John Montgomery of Caruthersville; two sisters, Fern Smith of Wardell and Mary Jarboe of Caruthersville; and a number of nephews, nieces, and other relatives and many friends. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Sterling Montgomery and two sisters, Lester Sherwood and Clatie Barnes.
Services were held 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 10 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ray Melton officiating.
Burial was in the Maple Cemetery.
