Morgan F. Grossman, son of Watson and Melinda Grossman, was born Febr. 24, 1878, in Clay County, Nebraska. When a few weeks old he moved to Nuckolls County near Angus, with his parents where he grew to manhood and spent the greater part of his life at farming.

On Jan. 18, 1900, he was united in marriage to Alpha N. Oldham at Nelson, Nebr. To this union four children were born. His wife preceded him in death on Febr. 8, 1937.

He was united with the Oxbow Christian Church at the age of 19 and was a faithful active member as long as his health permitted.

On Aug. 22, 1937, he was united in marriage to Inez Peters. In 1944 he retired from farming and moved to Edgar where he passed away after a lingering illness, on Febr. 19, 1954, at the age of 75 years, 11 months and 25 days.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, three sisters and two grandchildren. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Inez, two daughters, Mrs. Lena Bennett of Hastings, and Mrs. Beulah Bone of New York City, N.Y.; two sons, Warren of Nelson and Kenneth of Edgar; six grandchildren, Larry Bennett, Jeanette, Sharon, Lynn, Leonard and LeAnn Grossman; one brother, Gus of Nelson; two stepsons, Ray and Lloyd Peters; and four step grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Feb. 22, at the Church of Christ in Angus with Loren Daly, Evanlegist (sic), officiating.

Mrs. Merton McCartney, Mrs. Ivan King, Mrs. Archie Melvin and Mrs. Otha Skinner sang "Beyond the Sunset," "In The Upper Garden" and "Abide With Me."

Flower bearers were Mrs. Earl Basey, Mrs. Garth Melvin and Mrs. Homer Melvin.

Pallbearers were Neal Wehrman, Earl Basey, Herbert Peters, Homer Melvin, Harvey Countryman and Will Culbertson.
