Funeral services will be held this afternoon (Thursday) at 2:00 p.m. at the Nelson Christian Church for Phillip A. (Gus) Grossman who passed away on Tuesday, August 10.
He is survived by his wife, Maude, a son and a daughter.
Rev. Peter Vanderveen will be in charge of the services and interment will be in the Nelson Cemetery.
Pall bearers are Kenneth Grossman, Warren Grossman, Selby Howard, Jim Bargen, Floyd Rouse and H. McAdamson (sic).

Phillip Augustus Grossman, son of Watson and Malinda Grossman, was born in Nuckolls County, Nebraska, January 17, 1886. His parents, three brothers, and one sister all passed away several years ago.
He was united in marriage with Frances Maude Lippincott April 18, 1918, in Eldorado (sic), Kansas, and spent most of his life in the Nelson area until he and Mrs. Grossman moved to Nelson in 1942.
Mr. Grossman passed away August 10, 1965, in his sleep after a long period of illness. He leaves his wife, Maude, of Nelson; one son, Ramond, of Forsyth, Montana; one daughter, Ona, of Papillion; five grandchildren; and many neighbors and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services were held Thursday, August 12, at the Nelson Christian Church with Rev. Peter Vanderveen officiating. Interment was in the Nelson Cemetery.
