Advance - Cara E. Acord, 69 years old, of Advance died Friday in a Poplar Bluff Hospital. He was born Sept. 8, 1896 in Bollinger County. He was a retired farmer.
Mr. Acord married Miss Lilly May Simmers in 1920. she preceded him in death. On May, 1964, he married Mrs. Alta Stepp, she survives.
Other survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Kathleen Fowler, Mrs. Adam Nelson, Mrs. Pauline Tolbert and Mrs. Betty Lou Hinkle; two sons, William Acord and Franklin Acord; a stepson, Ivan Stepp; three brothers, William Acord, Troy Acord and Cegiel Acord; a sister, Mrs. Cecil Daugherty and 17 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday at the Morgan Funeral Home here. Burial will be in the Cato Cemetery.
