Mrs. Alta E. Acord, of Advance, died November 1, 1981 at her home. She was 73 years old. She was born December 24, 1907 near Gipsy, daughter of Adam and Fannie (Shell) Wiseman.
She was a member of Bethel General Baptist Church. She joined the church in 1940.
On June 27, 1934 she married Tom Stepp. He died November 23, 1962.
She then married Cara Acord May 23, 1964. He died in 1966.
She is survived by on son, James Ivan Stepp of the home; two stepsons; four step-daughters; three brothers, Roy Wiseman of Advance, MO; Omer Wiseman of Advance, MO; and Milford Wiseman of Saginaw, TX; two sisters, Mrs. Lovie Cooper of east Alton, IL; Mrs. Hazel Sitz of Bethalto, IL; and 18 step-grandchildren.
Service was held at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance on Tuesday, Burial was in Cato Cemetery.
