DR. L.L. WHITE DEAD; END CAME SUDDENLY LAST FRIDAY
This community was shocked Friday afternoon by the news that Dr. Luther L. White had died suddenly while making a call near Springfield. He had been suffering from rheumatism and only a few days before had remarked that it was getting near his heart.
The funeral was conducted Saturday afternoon from the Methodist church, of which the deceased was a member. Revs. S.L. Dobbs, pastor, and J.W. Tucker of Childersburg, conducted the services which were attended by a large congregation. The interment was at this place.
A widow and seven children and a large family connection mourn his sad demise. Dr. White was a genial, whole-souled man, and had many friends. One of them said of him in lamenting his death, "the poor people will miss him; he always responded to their calls."
