Francis Orville Whitaker, 71, Topeka, was dead on arrival at a Topeka hospital on Friday after he collapsed in a downtown office building.
He was born Aug 4, 1901 in Shawnee County and had lived in Topeka most of his life. He was employed by Railway Ice Co. and retired in 1957.
Survivors include 2 sisters, Mrs Minnie Goenour, Topeka, and Mrs Dorothy Cauldwell, Wichita; and 3 brothers, Hugh Whitaker, Topeka, and Charles Whitaker and Percy Whitaker, both of Placentia, Calif.
